CP Diagnostics Suite
CP Diagnostics Suite is a powerful, administrator-only WordPress diagnostics toolkit for testing your website, server, DNS, email configuration, SSL/TLS, performance, WordPress health, migration readiness, and outbound connectivity—all from one polished dashboard. Run focused checks, review clear results, compare environments, and export support-ready reports without adding anything to your public-facing website.
🔍 Diagnose WordPress, Server, Network, Email, and Migration Problems in One Place
CP Diagnostics Suite gives WordPress administrators a professional collection of diagnostic tools for investigating hosting, networking, DNS, email authentication, website performance, SSL/TLS, WordPress configuration, browser requests, and migration readiness.
Instead of switching between several external services, server utilities, and WordPress screens, you can run focused checks directly from your WordPress administrator dashboard and review the results in one organized workspace.
The plugin is designed exclusively for authorized administrators. It adds no shortcode, block, frontend template, public script, public stylesheet, or unauthenticated endpoint to your website.
🧰 Professional Diagnostic Tools
CP Diagnostics Suite includes an extensive collection of individual tools and guided testing suites.
🌐 Network and DNS Diagnostics
Investigate domain resolution, DNS behavior, routing, connectivity, and public registration information with tools including:
- DNS Propagation Comparator
- DNSSEC Validator
- NSLookup / Dig
- Domain Check
- Reverse DNS
- TCP Ping
- Traceroute
- Port Check
- IP Blocklist Check
The DNS Propagation Comparator checks responses from the local server resolver, Cloudflare, and Google, helping you identify inconsistent records and TTL differences.
The DNSSEC Validator examines authenticated responses, DNSKEY records, and parent DS delegation signals.
✉️ Email Readiness and Authentication
Review the DNS records that influence email delivery and sender authentication.
The Email Dossier can inspect:
- MX records
- SPF
- DMARC
- DKIM
- BIMI
- MTA-STS
- TLS-RPT
The guided Email Readiness Suite brings important delivery and authentication checks together and presents them with prioritized interpretation.
⚡ Website and Performance Testing
Measure website connectivity and request performance from the server where WordPress is running.
Included tools cover:
- Independent DNS timing
- TCP connection timing
- TLS negotiation timing
- Complete HTTP request timing
- Response headers
- Received content size
- Download and upload sampling
- HTTP availability
- TLS certificate validation
The Web Performance Profiler separates DNS, TCP, TLS, and HTTP timings so you can more easily identify where delays may be occurring.
The bounded Speed Test uses controlled Cloudflare download and upload samples to estimate your server’s outbound throughput.
🛠️ WordPress Health Diagnostics
Troubleshoot common WordPress communication and scheduling problems with dedicated checks for:
- REST API availability
- Homepage loopback requests
- REST discovery
- Permalink configuration
- WP-Cron scheduling
- Overdue cron events
- Repeated scheduled events
- HTTPS transport
- WordPress.org connectivity
The WordPress Cron Inspector is read-only and helps identify overdue, repeated, or potentially misconfigured scheduled events without changing existing schedules.
The REST & Loopback Diagnosis checks the homepage, REST routes, REST discovery, and permalink configuration.
🖥️ Server and Hosting Inspection
Review important capabilities and limits of the environment hosting your WordPress installation.
The Server Capability Matrix examines areas such as:
- PHP extensions
- PHP limits
- HTTP transport
- Caching support
- Image-processing capabilities
The Server Snapshot summarizes relevant information about WordPress, PHP, the operating system, TLS, DNS, and route capabilities.
The Outbound Connectivity Matrix tests selected WordPress and ClearPath service endpoints and provides timing and status information.
🚚 Migration Readiness
The Migration Comparison Suite compares source and destination HTTP and TLS readiness without modifying either website.
This helps administrators and developers identify connectivity, certificate, or response issues before beginning a migration or DNS transition.
🧭 Guided Diagnostic Suites
Not every administrator wants to configure individual tests manually. CP Diagnostics Suite includes guided suites that group related checks into practical workflows:
- Website Readiness Suite
- Email Readiness Suite
- WordPress Health Suite
- Migration Comparison Suite
These suites combine multiple related tests and provide Pass, Warning, and Critical interpretations with actionable recommendations.
🔐 Secure by Design
CP Diagnostics Suite includes multiple safeguards for administrator-only diagnostic work.
Every diagnostic request requires:
- The dedicated
run_cp_network_toolscapability - A valid plugin nonce
- Authorized WordPress access
- Validated input
- Bounded request sizes and timeouts
Private, reserved, loopback, and link-local targets are blocked by default to reduce the risk of internal-network discovery and server-side request forgery.
Administrators working with intentional intranet diagnostics may explicitly enable internal targets from the plugin settings.
Per-user burst limits and a concurrent-run lock help reduce excessive or accidental request activity.
🛡️ Privacy-Focused Results
Diagnostic results are not saved in WordPress by default.
Administrators may optionally enable a bounded history of up to 25 privacy-reduced summaries. Raw target values are not stored in that history, and saved history can be cleared at any time.
Support materials are generated in the administrator’s browser, including:
- Copy-ready results
- JSON export
- Privacy-redacted Markdown reports
This makes it easier to share useful diagnostic information with a developer, host, or support team while maintaining control over the data you provide.
📊 WordPress Site Health Integration
The header displays a Site Health percentage based on the most recently completed WordPress core Site Health test counts.
Authorized administrators can use the badge to open the standard WordPress Site Health screen. A dash is shown until WordPress has stored a completed result.

❓ Frequently Asked Questions
Does the plugin add anything to my frontend?
No. CP Diagnostics Suite has no public-facing output and loads its assets only on its own WordPress administrator screen.
Is TCP Ping the same as a traditional ping?
No. Standard PHP hosting environments typically cannot create raw ICMP sockets. TCP Ping measures the connection setup time to a selected service port. It is useful for testing application reachability, although firewall and service behavior can influence the results.
Why might Traceroute be unavailable?
Traceroute requires tracert on Windows or traceroute on Unix-like systems. PHP must also permit proc_open(). Some shared hosting companies disable process execution for security reasons.
Are diagnostic results permanently stored?
Not by default. Optional history stores only a limited number of privacy-reduced summaries and can be cleared by an administrator.
Can I test private or internal IP addresses?
Private, loopback, link-local, and reserved targets are blocked by default. An administrator may explicitly enable internal targets when intentional intranet testing is required.
