Measurement evidence
Confidence, sample counts, data use, and percentile ranges behind the latest result.
- Confidence is calculated after sampling.

Final throughput uses the 90th percentile of valid request measurements. Latency uses the median.
Connection Health Score
Run a test to calculateYour score combines speed, responsiveness, stability, and successful test requests.
Loaded latency and bufferbloat
Shows how responsive your connection remains while busy.
Lower added delay means calls and games should stay smooth during heavy traffic.
Connection Stability Score
Run a test to calculateMeasures consistency across latency, download, upload, loaded response time, and completed requests.
Network and protocol diagnostics
Reports reachability and protocols observed during this test.
A protocol is marked observed only when the browser exposes it for a completed test request.
Host Origin vs. Edge Speed Benchmark
Compares round-trip latency to this WordPress server host origin versus the distributed Cloudflare Edge.
A large delta indicates edge caching and CDN presence is actively accelerating visitor requests.
Public DNS Resolution Benchmark
Compares response times of major privacy-focused DNS over HTTPS (DoH) providers from this browser.
Fast DNS lookups accelerate initial page loads and connection handshakes across the web.
Multi-Edge Regional Routing Matrix
Measures cross-regional edge route response times to evaluate international network routing quality.
Matrix testing demonstrates global transit latency and helps detect suboptimal regional peering.
Why did I get this health score?
Each row shows the measured value and points earned toward the 100-point Connection Health Score.
The loss component reflects the percentage of completed test requests.
Router Tuning & SQM (Bufferbloat) Calculator
Use these calculated bandwidth caps in your router’s Smart Queue Management (CAKE / FQ-CoDel) settings to eliminate bufferbloat and latency spikes.
Router Preset Instructions
Install luci-app-sqm. Enable SQM on wan, select cake and piece_of_cake. Enter the bandwidth caps above in kbit/s.
Settings → Internet → WAN → Enable Smart Queues. Enter the download and upload caps above.
eero Settings → Network Settings → Optimize for Conferencing & Gaming (SQM). Automatic configuration.
Firewall → Traffic Shaper → Limiters. Create In/Out pipes with CoDel/FQ-CoDel schedulers using these bandwidth values.
Adaptive QoS → QoS Type: FQ-CoDel (or Cake). Input manual upload and download bandwidth limits.

Community averages

Location means country and the approximate Cloudflare edge route used by the test—not a home address or precise coordinate. IP addresses and user agents are not stored.

What your results mean
How fast data comes from the internet to your device.
How fast data goes from your device to the internet.
Round-trip response time. Lower is better.
Variation in ping. Lower means smoother performance.
The percentage of small test requests that did not complete. This is an application-level signal, not an ICMP packet-loss measurement.
How consistently latency and transfer rates behaved across the samples in one test.
IPv4 and IPv6 are reachability checks. HTTP versions are reported only when observed by the browser.
Frequently asked questions
Why do speed tests show different results?
Wi-Fi conditions, route distance, network traffic, active downloads, and your device can all change the result.
What is a good internet speed?
For many homes, 100 Mbps supports several streams and calls. Gaming depends more on low ping and jitter.
Does WordPress save my results?
Your detailed personal history stays in this browser. When community averages are enabled, WordPress also stores a limited anonymous measurement row with country and approximate Cloudflare edge-route metadata, but no IP address, account ID, user agent, or precise coordinates.
Which test mode should I choose?
Quick is useful for a fast estimate, Standard is the everyday default, and Deep runs longer to collect more evidence about stability.
How much data can a test use?
The estimate beside each mode is a conservative maximum, not a promise of actual use. Data Saver uses a smaller profile and skips optional packet loss. Actual measured transfer data appears with every completed result.
What does result confidence mean?
Confidence describes the strength of the evidence, not the quality of the connection. It considers mode, valid samples, variation, request failures, reported background traffic, and whether the page stayed visible.
How is the health score calculated?
The score uses separately displayed points for download, upload, idle latency, jitter, loss, loaded latency, and stability. Open the score explanation after a test to see every component.
How does the baseline work?
After three tests with the same recorded connection type, the browser compares the latest result with local medians and highlights meaningful anomalies. More history enables time-of-day patterns.
Why was HTTP/3 not observed?
The browser, operating system, network, proxy, endpoint, or current connection reuse can affect protocol selection. Not observed does not mean unsupported.
